It does not take many turns of the removeable wind up key to make the plane operate.The prop spins perfectly,and it drives the wheels making it taxi perfectly-it really goes for a long time if you wind it up! 14 1/2 inch winspan,and 10 inchs long.This toy comes with the original pilot(has a pin under pilot to locate it,and hold it in cockpit),and the original box-it is very hard to find one of these with the original box! The box inner in in exellent condition,the box colored cover is in fair shape,as you can see in the pics,and judge for you'reself.This toy came with 4 bombs which dropped as the bomb shafts retract into the fuselage-the shafts work perfectly on this-just don't have the 4 bombs -I have seen the bombs for sale on e-bay.You can judge how far to wind it as you watch the shafts extend outward underneath the wing-when the outer shaft goes into the last tab it is wound fully .It will really go if you wind it this far.You place the pin on the left side of the engine in the stop slot then wind it,and the when ready move the pin out of the stop slot,and it really goes-be ready it will really spin! -I usually set it on the floor,and then moved the pin out of the stop notch with my left index finger. The key fits perfectly on the wind shaft,you wind it counterclockwise looking down from the top -and if you wind it from underneath you turn the key clockwise.NOTHING MISSING ON THE AIRPLANE ITSELF!! NO REPAIRS! This is a remarkably colorful,and beautiful airplane! The blue wheelpants,and the painted exhaust stacks,and all the markings are as bright as when it was made-probably in the 1930's.The makings on the prop are painted to look like a wooden prop,and this looks remakably real,the blue spinner is beautiful,and not damaged -perfect condition!I do not want to sell this toy,but I have to pay for other items I want to purchase,and I am mainly interested in the propellor Airliner toys,and models.Any questions or comments are welcome!
