Truly Rare - 1925 TOLEDO Blue Streak Moving Van, NO RES Start Price USD 500.00 Current Price USD 1,434.00 Time Left - Bid Count 6 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, September 02, 2008 End Time Friday, September 12, 2008 Location Milwaukee, Wisconsin See more about 'Truly Rare - 1925 TOLEDO Blue Streak Moving Van, NO RES' Description TOLEDO #48 BULL DOG MACK MOVING VAN  - NO RESERVE on this pressed steel truck.  Manufactured in 1925, it is 26 inches long.  This toy is original with the exception of the machine screws and the "lateral braces" underneath the van body which are there to connect the van body to the chassis.  These braces are reproductions.  They are painted black like the originals and I have marked them in a photo below because you could not tell by looking them that they aren't original.  As you will also see, the braces are not visible from an "eye level view" as they are beneath the van body, (see another marked photo  below).  Also, there have been repairs to the hinges on the left rear door (driver's side).  One of the hinges has non-original brass machine screws.  I have included photos to show the hinges in close-up views.  All paint and decals are original.  There is no bull dog decal on the front.  There is paint loss on the van front, behind the seat, and there are some surface rust spots scattered in the cab and passenger side fender area.  The wheels and tires are in great condition, especially the rubber treads.  The paint color is "Nile Green" and is all original but shows plenty of play wear.  Decals on the van body are very good.  A very, very hard to find toy. On Sep-05-08 at 19:32:08 PDT, seller added the following information:For further reference, you will find this toy listed on page 397 of the "Collector's Guide to American Transportation Toys.  Consistent with the description of the company on page 393, this toy has four knobby tread tires that are each marked "Juvenile Federal Rubber Co, U.S.A."  The tires are in excellent condition.  Also, the "Blue Streak" decals are considered rare among the Toledo brand trucks.
