Especially when you consider that the original boxes, wrapping paper original owner provenance are included. Above you see one of the nicest 746/746W combinations available in a long time, and it was purchased from the original owner mint in the box by us. It has never seen a track and was displayed only in a glass case. The engine and tender qualify easily as a C-9 under the TCA grading standard with one exception - there is NO EVIDENCE OF BEING TEST RUN!The engine and tender show no signs of use and no evidence of being test run. Hence we too have not tested it.The boxes are complete, straight, square and completely intact, including the set box. On the engine box the dealer placed the word "top" to tell the owner that the engine should be stored wheels down.On the set box is only the original closing tape from the Lionel Dealer.
