Many are un-opened, some have been displayed, some have been used. The owner was a smoker, so there will probably be the smell of smoke in or on these items. I will do my BEST to accurately describe each item, including the packaging. If the item is listed as NEW or UNUSED, then you can believe it. IF I am the LEAST bit unsure, then I will not list it as new - I will indicate that I don't know, and we'll call it used. Some of the trains may not have the original owners manual, even if it is a new train. The owner removed most papers and stored them in various locations. If I am able to locate the papers for any train that has already been sold, I will mail it to the winning bidder. It is brand new, never run, never tested. Absolutely one of the most sought after trains out there. One of the JLC Series by Lionel. Very large O-72 Gauge. This one comes screwed to the styrofoam carton. I removed the screws in order to take the photos, but securely refastened it for shipping. I will place the entire assembly, shipping carton and all, into another outer box for added protection.   I have made this a Buy-it-Now listing. The price set is the price paid for this train when it was ordered. You are encouraged to make an offer. My  goal is to make someone very happy with this train - maybe I'll like your offer. You enter your zipcode, and WALLAH! - out spits a price. Sometimes, the price is WAY OFF. If the amount is off (in my favor) by more than a couple of bucks, I will refund to you the difference. Please pay the amount stated, unless I catch the bogus amount before you pay, in which case I will issue a corrected invoice with the new amount. Either way, I will do my best to keep the costs down.   Usually on larger items, I ship FedEx Ground or FedEx Home Delivery, insured. This allows me to provide tracking information for no extra charge to the winning bidder. Unfortunately, there's no FedEx option for me to enter into the shipping information section of the listing, so I put in "UPS" instead. At most, it may take a day or two longer to get the item on the west coast, BUT FedEx Kinkos is open late, allowing me to ship when the Post office is closed. The states surrounding me usually get their items the day after I ship - which is faster than Priority Mail.  I can ship Priority Mail, but the cost may be higher. I do use Priority mail exclusively for out of the country shipments, Post Office box addresses, and small packages that will fit into the Priority mail boxes.
