In 1994 the stamp of black cowboy and rodeo star Bill Pickett was initially released with a picture of his brother Ben Pickett. The Pickett family came forward and identified the error much to the horror of the Post Office printing division. It was decided some 150,000 of the errors would be released to the public. Hopeful collectors sent in payment for the page of stamps, if they were chosen they "won" a sheet with the picture of Ben Pickett with brother Bills name under it.
