One side has a Black base and the other White. I was told this set dates back to the late 1800's-early 1900s The king and queen are on large elephants and are extremely detailed. There is some minor black paint loss on the black ivory bases, other than that this set excellent condition! This is a small set with the king(Rajah) standing at 3 1/2" tall and the kneeling pawns are 1 5/8". This is from my own personal collection.
