It is an official Gumby product as verified by the 1995 copyright by Prema Toy Company and Ralph Marlin (printed on the tag on the underside of the tie). The necktie features many Gumby "action poses" running the full length of the tie. Gumby himself first appeared on the Howdy Doody show in 1956 and was given his own NBC series in 1957. In terms of personality, Gumby has both feet on the ground, but his head is in the clouds. His focus is on doing what is right and good.
