Made in Germany and inspired by the famous Fontaine Fox 1920's American comic strip, Toonerville Trolley. There are two versions of this toy, one has Katrinka lifting Jimmie in a wheel barrel using both arms and the other variation has her lifting Jimmie with only one arm. Both are scarce and very desirable. This toy is complete, original and in excellent plus condition. It works great and when wound, Katrinka lifts and lowers Jimmie with her right arm over & over while traveling forward. Her apron reads: The Powerful Katrinka. Printed around the bottom of the toy are: Copyright 1923 by Fontaine Fox, Pat Applied For No.297040, Made in Germany and G.M. 34282. Measures 5" high.
