Willy Mairesse, Jean Blaton as drivers.  The real car in the real race finished 3rd! less than 10 laps down from the winning Ford GT 40 of race winners Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt.  Relive a part of history with this fine piece of machinery- maybe even win the race this time!!  The original case is included with this auction.  This car has been in my collection for the last few years.  This car is part of a large collection that is in the process of being sold to the highest bidder.  It has never been run and was taken from the case only for these series of photo's.   These are very unique slot cars and are beautifully detailed for use as a slot racer or a static display.  Fine slot cars dont usually last long so bid away!!  Good luck.  Shipping is at buyers cost. (base pictured is for display purposes only). As a side note, the Slot Car company Racer has this particular slot as being from the Ecurie Francorchamps stable at the LM 24 hour race in 1967.  If you check race records for the LeMans that year, you'll find that the entry was indeed by Equipe National Belga.  The confusion that sometimes arrises over these two storied stables is that Equipe National Belga was formed by one of the principles from Ecurie Francorchamps.  A minor point perhaps but an important podium finish for the Belgium based team.
