On most items such as this the Plastic and Litho’s have been wiped clean before shipping. When it comes to shipping, small pieces are wrapped in bubble wrap and packing peanuts are used to help ensure a safe delivery. I personally hate having an item come to me that has been damaged in shipping due to poor packing and I end up with nothing and I am sure you do also. Shipping costs are not refundable by the insurance carrier so whatever you paid for shipping, you’re simply out that money. I do everything possible to prevent this from happening but we all know at times regardless on how well it is pack that it can happen. A REASONABLE HANDLING FEE is added onto the shipping cost to help defray the cost of Bubble Wrap and Packing Peanuts which in the past few months have skyrocketed in price due to the Fuel Prices. There is a round control tower on the top with clear plastic walls on all sides, and a round red dome roof. The front of the airport has a white passenger drop-off car ramp with a red revolving luggage conveyor system under the ramp. The top of the airport has a helicopter landing area and a hand-turned crank that makes a helicopter propeller blades spin, and also makes the luggage conveyor system under the airport turn.Opinions about condition differ.... Toys that have been played with usually have normal play-wear... rarely mint condition. Please expect to find surface wear/markings, possible staining, etc. which are consistent with age, use and storage. Any serious flaws have been noted, otherwise consider to be OK.The overall condition of this set is very good. No chips, cracks or breaks to the plastic can be found, all lithos are present with good color and very little bubbling and all mechanism work as they should. The runway litho is very good and shows very little wear. This Airport is located in Chicago and called O’Dear. Major construction is going on due to all the congestion from so many people. You will find many added accessories making this into one huge airport expansion. This set is complete and also accurate but with many extras.
