GILBERT; Looks Great!   After 40 years of 007 mystic, this race set is in great shape, and possibly the most intriguing and collectible toy of the century.  This set is in GOOD WORKING ORDER, AND 100% COMPLETE down to the bumper TIPS and bulletproof screen on the cars.  As well included is a very nice, most rare box.  It is rare to find one with the cars running, much less running really fast, and the Flashing Red Warning Lights actually flashing!  The set is in great condition for its age.  The scenic panels, mountains, and controllers look really good.  The hand painted scenery shows vivid colors.  All the rock and u-clips are perfect.  All of the ORIGINAL signs are included. The pit area is totally stocked per original specs.  All the guardrails are included and completely intact.  I have included 8 pages of the original instructions including 2 rare factory released updates.  All of the original decals are included, and in very good condition.  The track metal rails are 100% intact and firmly attached.  (Often the track prongs and/or metal rails are broken off and/or spliced, repaired.)  I have included the COMPLET SET of 10 very collectable VINTAGE 1965 Bond movie action figures made by A.C. Gilbert - not originally included with the road race set.  This road race set is totally complete.  I just took dozens of hours to hand-clean and polish the entire set, as well as tuning the cars to be killer fast.  This James Bond 007 Road Race Set is “Completely Wired - Landscaped - All Ready to go.”   THESE TWO CARS MAKE A TRULY EXCELLENT FANTASTIC PAIR – AS GOOD AS IT GETS,… BEST OF 10 CARS!  This set includes a RARE BLUE ASTON MARTIN DB5 and RARE RED FASTBACK MUSTANG in very good FAST RUNNING CONDITION.  These cars are highly collectable.  The bodies, chassis’s, rims, and glass are in great condition.  Both cars have typical minor blackening/aging on some of the chrome trim.  A rim on the mustang has some chrome loss.  The glass looks fantastic.  The chrome on the wheel rims is in excellent brilliant condition.  The screw posts etc. are in great condition.  These 2 cars are KILLER FAST.  It is extremely rare to find O Gauge cars that run at all, much less well.  It can take a lot of time and money to collect, complete, and tune-up these cars and the total road race set.  Many will never run fast.  Both cars are TOTALLY COMPLETE DOWN TO THE MACHINE GUNS AND TIPS OF THEIR BUMPERS.  It is really tough to find both cars 100% INTACT.  Both of the chassis’s are in excellent condition.  The COPPER on the Aston Martin and Mustang chassis’s is in great condition.  I have thoroughly cleaned, oiled and tuned these Aurora chassis’s to run great.  I have replaced hard slippery tires with original equipment good gripping soft tires.  THIS PAIR OF CARS IS ABOUT AS GOOD AS YOU WILL EVER SEE OFFERED WITH A BOND ROAD RACE SET.  The cars are in Q certifiable field ready condition.   RECENT O SCALE CAR SALES PRICE THESE TWO CARS IN THE $250 - $500 RANGE FOR CARS NOT EVEN STATED TO RUN.   THIS Rare BOX looks really good for a forty year old.  This box is the MOST RARE of the RARE+++!!!!!  It has the full color panel with Sean Connery’s intriguing face.  (The Connery panel was left blank in later issues.)  The Sears logos are left uncovered.  (Later versions had Sears logos cut out or covered by stickers.)  The photographic type of print is vivid.  (Many of these panels on other boxes are normally really faded and/or messed up.)  There are typical tears, discoloration, wear, etc.  It is rare to find a box with all of the panels firm, and practically completely intact.  The original text is nearly all legible and vivid.  All of the original staples are intact on the bottom.  This ORIGINAL BOX IS VERY DISPLAYABLE.  THIS BOX IS IN ABOUT AS GOOD CONDITION AS YOU CAN EVER FIND.  See the pictures.   A. C. Gilbert also made these 10 Action Figures.  They were originally sold on cards around 1965, when the road race set was released.  They are about 3 ½ inches tall.  I am including the villainous DOCTOR NO with Super Powerful Hands Clutching a Poison Vial, SEAN CONNERY/JAMES BOND in Cool Sport Gear, the Lovely Heroine – DOMINO – She Lives with Danger, “M” – Bond’s Brilliant Boss, MONEYPENNY – Unrequited Love Interest and Secretary, the Infamous GOLDFINGER – Bond’s Cruel Adversary, ODD JOB with his Dangerous Derby, JAMES BOND/SEAN CONERY in his White Tuxedo with Deadly Baretta Walther PP, and JAMES BOND/SEAN CONERY in his Scuba Gear, and LARGO – Cruel One Eyed Villian.   The road race slot car set features incredible hand painted scenery. The colors are brilliant.  You can visualize villains and heroes swapping bullets and paint while racing over mountain precipices and lakes, through tunnels, and around a splashing waterfall.  There are even a pit service area, and Le Mans Race Start point.   Children of all ages really have fun with this fantastic road race set!   Please understand what it means to have a 100% complete working set.  It took me about 6 months to restore my old set I pulled out of my dear old parents’ attic.  (It is not for sale.)  This involved countless searches and bids on ebay items to even accumulate the complete set.  It took countless hours to accumulate enough expertise to restore the cars and track.  Typically, the panels are dirty.  The controllers don’t work.  The wiring is defective or broken.  The tires are hard and slippery.  The tracks have been broken and re-soldered.  The cars run a few inches then stop if they run at all.  The last u-clip, rock clamp, road sign, service ramp, or tree is next to impossible to find.  Some decals are gone, stained, or defective.  That electrical gremlin takes hours to even track down and understand, and more hours to fix.  The cars are missing bumpers, bullet screen, or pickup shoes.  The car bodies are defective scratched missing glass, missing chassis pieces, missing chrome, have broken posts, and barely even make a lap if they run at all.  You can invest hundreds of dollars, and countless hours to put together a complete road race set in good working condition.  You can easily have to buy 2 - 4 ebay sets to make 1 fast working, 100% complete set!   One of these road race sets recently sold on Ebay for about $2500!!!   Here is some copy from the original box sides:   James Bond 007 Road Race.
