Description
This auction is for a VERY RARE Enzo Mari Puzzle from Danese Milano. This puzzle, which is permanently embossed with the label of Danese Milano, is in Gently Used, Very Good condition. It was made in Italy.I looked on the internet for information on both Enzo Mari and on Danese Milano. According to the internet:"Danese is one of the most important companies for Italian Design. Since its foundation in 1957, Danese has continuously advanced and improved, --perfectly fusioning design culture--creative research and production techniques in all kinds of inventions."And as for Enzo Mari, "The Italian Institute of Culture hosts a travelling exhibition focused on Enzo Mari, artist & designer from Milano of international fame whose creations are included in permanent collections of several worldwide museums, starting from the Modern Art Gallery in Rome to the Museum of Modern Art in NYC to the Kunstmuseum in Dusseldorf."My internet research found two different puzzles designed by Enzo Mari, selling for prices ranging from $699 down to $200. Mari created a Hooved Animal puzzle and a Pesci (Fish) puzzle. This is Mari's Pesci Puzzle, and it represents 16 different types of sea creatures. I believe also that this puzzle came in a wooden version and a resin version. This is the resin version, and it measures 13.5" by 9.5". TRULY A RARE TREASURE!!!From a smoke-free home and without odors of any kind.Shipping for the Enzo Mari Pesci Puzzle will be $7.95 within the USA. International bidders, please email for shipping charges before bidding. On Sep-04-08 at 08:24:12 PDT, seller added the following information:REGARDING THE BOX: The box that is shown in the photos is made of cardboard and consists of the box bottom only (lid is missing). I do believe that this is the original box in which the puzzle came as it is a perfect fit!
