Description
I am selling these items as I cannot do shows anymore. This is the Dagger Chest Illusion. This is a nice illusion that packs flat, but is slightly volumous due to the swords. This is the "thin wall" model, and comes with a sufficiently threatening display stand showing a number of swords that surely no one could survive being pierced in the head, in such a small and narrow box. The display stand can be set up on the floor, if a side table or area is not available. The pictures show the box "in effect". The box comes with two panels, for front and back with yellow chevron/triangle decoration. Because this is the "thin wall" model, this box can withstand observation from a significant 45degree angle to the audience and still show the impossibility of injury while the panels are in place, let alone the vanishing of the head as well! when the front panel is removed to display the nest of 15 daggers. This is not a close-up effect but the photo's will show how well this performs at close range, but I do not reccomend this. This is the description from the Louis Tannen Catalogue: A small box is placed over a person's head. Daggers are thrust through the box. The front panel of the box is removed, the chest is completely filled with the dagger blades...the head has vanished! Daggers are removed, chest lifted up and the assistant's head is where it should be, unharmed. When I did this I would have the assistants or audience members face as close to the front as possible in the box and banter a bit with them, before closing them off by sliding the front panel down. The first blade to go in is the largest, center blade, and if done with enough force it will seem to penetrate through the base of the chin of the head in question.Just be mindfull of the point as it may prick the collar bone of the subject while in performance. A few quiet words to the assistant asking them to "slump" when the first blade goes in, is a nice bit of business for the audience. The dimensions are head-sized when fully assembled and will fit most adult heads,.any additional showmanship is encouraged. I accept pay-pal only
