Came in a blue striped Dinky Supertoy box  complete with a loading ramp in a sleeve marked 994 Loading Ramp which was marked 794. Shown in the January issue of Meccano magazine at 17/6 with the ramp costing 1/7.  It also available as part of a set including cars and also as No582. The model was renumbered 982 in January 1954.  Advertised in the December 1957 Meccano magazine for 17/11. Windows were added in early 1961.  The Pullmore Car Transporter made its last appearance in the July 1963 catalogue, and was deleted from production by the middle of that year.  The original price was 16/6 . A model in excellent condition - just a little wear to the rear and a few flecks. There is a small crack just behind the cab, but the vehicle is relatively easy to replace for a mint example to accompany the box. The box on the other hand is something else; this is the first such example we have ever seen. Normally a 982 or 582 comes in a blue and white striped box, and this is the first example of a plain blue box having been supplied with a pullmore. An extremely rare original example which may never come to auction again - in excellent condition with just a couple of areas of wear and a white mark on one end of the top.
