The box is solid but has been taped at some point in the past to evidently reinforce. Colors are still nice and bright and it displays nicely with the piece. The 1931 Marx Merry Makers is just gorgeous. It’s all tin litho with a very strong windup mechanism – works great and what a darling piece! Measures about 8 ¾” high. There are a few small scattered light scratches in the litho – but colors and graphics are still fabulous but they are minimal and most of the original paint remains intact. A truly fabulous example that will make a terrific addition to your personal collection. Works great and this is really an exceptional example for you.
