Description 1956 Mechanized Robot Robby W/Box Exceptional Cond. This robot is from the move Forbidden Planet made in 1956....early Sci-Fi.The box and robot are in excellent untouched condition. This one I understand is the early version with the round battery box door knobs. The reproductions have flat ones like the later made originals.Without a doubt this is an original even though it is in near mint condition. This is just how it came out of a Wisconsin estate. It is in working order also.....pistons move and antennas turn when he walks. Could not have been used much at all...and was obviously stored with great care as the original box is also exceptional. You have to really look him over in close inspection to even find a small scratch on the robot. It has to rate over condition 9 on a scale of 10. Box is excellent....bright, clean, and straight. Box has a 1" x 1" spot of damage to the litho on the top end panel from it appears the price tag being pulled off. Also a 1/4" x 3/4" spot from most likely the box closing tape being pulled off on the bottom end panel....otherwise the box would be nearly mint also. There are some asking over $3700 for one in this condition on Ebay...here is one for well less half that. Check out my feedback if you have any doubt about me or this item. $39 for careful packaging and shipping with insurance.Foreign bidders must be OK'd by me before bidding. No Paypal please...too many problems with it and I have a lot invested in this item to take a chance on an insecure and expensive service as Paypal is.
