' Description Were pleased to offer an absoutely gorgeous professionally restored late 1920s Keystone Packard dump truck 27" long, pressed steel, with replacement decals and paint. The side mechanism cranks to raise the back dump section, little different than the standard Keystone front crank mechanism. This side hand crank is the original wood and has been painted, but does have some loss of the wood we can see under the paint. Open cab, short running boards, very Buddy L looking. Red chassis, black body and dump area, paint job is fabulous on this truck, so shiney we had problems getting rid of the glare when we were taking photos. The back dump has a latch type tailgate and also a small door that opens/swings with a latch on the tailgate. Steering wheel turns the front wheels effortlessly. We do note that we can tell this is old, as in a few places in the bed we can see some pitting in the metal that they painted over when they painted it. This is not a bad painted area, just letting us know its old and the metal is old, no structural or real metal loss on the truck. The black paint is thick, heavy, applied with expertise and is very shiney. We can see a few spot welds that are original to the truck here and there. Rubber tires marked KEYSTONE BOSTON TIRES, and have some cracks in them that are minor, few scuffs to the rubber here and there, metal hubs are good. When they repainted the red hubs, we can see just a few tiny areas where they got the red paint on the rubber, minor. We believe the tires are original to the truck, due to the cracks and the writing looks worn. Guaranteed to be an authentic Keystone Packard old toy, so bid with confidence and realize how large this truck is, it makes quite a statement on display.
