127 piece Hand Cut Wooden & Fabric Jigsaw Puzzle wood Welcome to my auction!Up for bid is a very unique, one of a kind, hand cut, fabric and wood jigsaw puzzle.This puzzle was created by printing this wonderful copy of "Landing At Westminster Bridge" an 1818 oil on canvas painting by James Jacques Joseph Tissot onto cotton blend fabric (not paper). Then the fabric was securely glued to 1/4" 5 ply Birch Plywood. This wood is very strong and great for making puzzles with small pieces.Several light coats of varnish have been applied to protect the image. Just enough varnish to protect it but, not so much that you can't still feel the texture of the fabric. The back of the puzzle was treated with Tung Oil and sanded by hand until smooth. Then each puzzle piece was carefully cut one at a time using a super fine (only .008 thickness) scroll saw blade. By using such a fine blade the puzzle pieces have a very tight fit. I don't use any templates or patterns when I cut. Every cut is done free hand!My knobby style of cutting is very interlocking, a few pieces might fall out if you pick the puzzle up by the corner.
