Description Hand Cut Puzzle #348 - Wizard at Night #348 Wizard at Night (170 pieces) ~ This is a handmade, hand cut, created by me, one of a kind wooden jigsaw puzzle! ~ If you would like to be notified whenever I post new puzzles for auction, click here! Wizard at Night is a little puzzle featuring a wizard reading his big book of spells, winged horses flying in the background. Really unusual subject matter for one of my puzzles, but I saw the opportunity for a really unique puzzle! I've done all new figurals for this one and they are all appropriate to the print.. There is an average of 2.3 pieces per square inch. Puzzle has been handcut from 1/4" 5-ply Baltic Birch, a very strong wood that will last for generations to come! See enlarged side view below. I cut this puzzle by hand, carefully guiding the wood into the thin blade of a scroll saw, cutting off one piece at a time, using blades with a thickness of just 0.008! Approximate size is 7 3/4" X 9 1/2" There are 8 figurals as shown above, including my "key" signature piece (signed, numbered, and dated on the back.) One of the figurals is enhanced (the cat). Includes pegasus, black cat, wizard, wizard's hat, bat, potion bottle, and witch on a broom. Puzzle was cut in my Standard Cut and interlocks well overall, but not every piece is fully interlocking. Some of the pieces fall out when you pick up or turn the puzzle over for example. I think this one will be enjoyable to work because of the colors and patterns in the print. It should not be too difficult because of the different areas of color, but I did add some color line cutting, as well as disguised edge pieces, as usual! Puzzle will come disassembled inside a storage box like the one shown below. My label is affixed to the box with the puzzle title, number, and piece count. Note: This puzzle contains small pieces which may present a choking hazard to children. It has been designed for adults or older children and is not meant for young children.
