The sheets are made from new plastic and are precision cut and drilled to fit your vintage machine. They have a peel-off protective film on each side to keep them free from dust, dirt, and scratches during handling and storage. This feature is particularly important when you are making windows or canopies that need to be free of scratches and dings. I have found no other clear sheets that have come with a protective film, not even original Mattel sheets.
